About Us
Waste Free Tahoe (WFT) was founded by Maria Lopez Godoy to help waste generators reduce the waste they send to landfill, cut operational costs and incorporate sustainability into any company’s business model.
Maria, is an economist and sustainability expert located in California for the last 10+ years.
Maria received a Master's in sustainability management, and later went to work as a waste compliance specialist and a Sustainability Manager across California and the U.S.
She has helped hundreds of locations to reduce their waste, and has worked with dozens of clients helping them create zero waste plans and coming up with innovative tools for their waste reduction goals.
